Hi everybody! I’m your driver for this month. I’ve checked the map (rules) and the mileage (previous recs); I’ve topped up the oil (chosen my recs) and cleaned the windscreen (the view is mostly slash); I have a route planned out but not all the places on the route (archives) give accurate wordcounts and some don’t provide ratings so I’ve given the lengths the sites give and I’ve tried to rate the fics appropriately. I don’t have a theme for the month, just a mixed bag of fics I love, that haven’t been recced here yet and that I hope you’ll love too. I’m starting with some fics designed to lift your spirits in the current UK weather. I don’t want to use those windscreen wipers just yet! Off we go...

Why this must be read: This is truly delightful pure ‘crack’ - sweet, funny and romantic, with a totally unrealistic plot premise but with the kind of banter we expect in this fandom. It makes me smile every time I read it. Cowley forces the lads to marry, for an op. What will happen when the op is over? There’s a drabble (Fraternization) that follows it (same rating) and is worth reading. I hope the fic will start the month off with a grin for you.

Update - I think it's fixed. LJ had inserted some extra "s. They certainly weren't in my offline version that I copied to my post. I've removed those and everything seems to work. I must just check with a magnifying glass next time - though I had trouble getting the first " to be the right kind; the font I'm using insisted on making them 'end' quotes instead of beginning ones, so that might be where the trouble crept in. LJ evidently inserted the correct " on my behalf but left the wrong ones in place. I do use html and not rte for posting and I thought I had it all sorted but clearly I need better glasses. Thank you for your help!
