Author's Summary: Hunith dies, and Merlin takes the news... poorly.

This fic literally brought me to tears. The loss of a mother is painful for anyone, but for Merlin, whose mother is all he has in the way of family after Balinor's death, it hits especially hard. Thank goodness he has his adopted family and friends in Camelot to help him transition through the sorrow. I really love how macbyrne handled Arthur in this grieving process. With his mother passing on before he got to know her, he is in a special position to help the now motherless Merlin. And he delivers the sympathy and love in spades. I really like how Mac made Arthur already know about Merlin's magic so a big reveal wasn't in the way of the drastically needed comfort. Just a lovely bit of emotional comfort between two men who know each other surprisingly well, understand each other's pain, and just love each other to bits.
