Close Shave by Dawnwind (Mature)
I'm more than halfway through my driving month, and I think I'm finally getting the hang of this behemoth of a Squash car. So, let's switch gears (Squash willing), and head around that sharp curve ahead. A little slice of S&H season 4 awaits!

Why this must be read: When I think of exceptional writing - clever and creative, original and smooth as butter, Dawnwind is right there at the top of the class. Her affection for the boys pours through like summer sunshine, but she doesn't shy away from difficult situations, hurt, angsty-ness. You name it, Dawnwind can write it. Here - she's used the episode "Black and Blue" (a sometimes less than beloved episode) as a jumping off point. What she has in store is delicious and satisfying and endearing. Starsky has a job to do, and I think he'll do it well...if he doesn't get derailed by some of the sensual musings of his own mind. When I read this, I felt like I was standing right there, watching the boys in action. When you read, I know you will see why.
