Why this must be read: I absolutely adore post-apocalyptic stories, but I am terrified by zombies. This means that it's pretty hard for me to get my post-apocaptic fix—but this fic delivers in grand style! Not only is this one of my favorite AU genres, but it also chooses a really fascinating and mysterious premise to execute. It's inventive and softly insightful while maintaining an "innocent" feel.
