It's been a cosy month, hasn't it? Lots of my favourite fic, and the end of the month is in sight without ever really having been far out of London. Not what I had planned for our road trip, but perhaps if they give me my licence back again, we can go around the British Isles as I had originally planned.

Anyway, here's something very different now - much darker.

Why this must be read: I’m not into BDSM, but the beginning of this fic struck me (ha!) and I continued, fascinated. It contains some lovely, lyrical descriptions – for example, Doyle “lying there sprawled and drained and buttery at the edges” – I can just see this! It also has humour, and jealousy, and our lads being our lads. It’s not anywhere on the internet that I can find, so you’ll have to look on the ProsLib CD – and if you don’t already have the CD, go and get it immediately! You’ll never regret it.

Can I read it? I will only if the Bodie/Cowley part is seen is a totally positive way. I suspect it could not be the case (sorry, Cowley is my favourite character).

I think it is portrayed very positively (well, in the context of BDSM!). It's perhaps a little sad - it's difficult to say much without spoilers! Email me if you need to know more, but I think you might enjoy it, if you can read through the other pairing(s) as well.

BDSM is not my thing (understatement) but, given the dearth of it, I'm willing to try any attempt at B/C if Cowley is not trashed.

Reassurance - Cowley is not trashed at all. Neither is the B/C relationship. The story resolves... differently than I expected.
