Michael Garibaldi's Zombie Apocalypse Plan by Jenavira (G)

Pairing: gen, Michael Garibaldi, Jeff Sinclair, Stephen Franklin
Length: 1250 words
Author on LJ: [livejournal.com profile] jenavira
Author Website: more fic at journal The Wicked King of Parody

Why this must be read:

Bookending this month’s serious fics with things that make me giggle—to wit, Garibaldi’s Very Serious treatment of the possibility of a zombie outbreak on Babylon 5. (You never know, it could happen! One must be prepared.) Jeff and Stephen—I’m sorry, the commander and chief medical officer—leave notes in the margin tendering their opinion of various sections.

Also, this comes from last year’s [livejournal.com profile] babylon5_love month of squee. They’re taking applications for this year’s Babylon 5 Love Month (August) here.

Babylon 5 Emergency Policy: Zombie Apocalypse

Stage I: Full station lockdown and quarantine procedures initiated. No exceptions. Until it is proven that zombies do not cross species barriers, no ships enter or leave the station, and traffic between zones on-station is limited.

Stage II: Confirm infections and type of zombies. This will probably require access to medical facilities. In the extremely likely event that Medlab has been compromised, clandestine Down Below facilities may serve as a secondary base of operations.

(Why is it "extremely likely" that Medlab would be compromised? We have state-of-the-art secure quarantine facilities, you know. Also, what clandestine Down Below facilities? -Dr. R. Franklin)

(Jeff, didn't I tell you this was not ready for distribution yet? - Michael)

Subsequent security strategies will depend on the type of zombies involved. Type A, the Lurcher, is relatively easy to maneuver around and presents a threat only in large groups, which we have in abundance on Babylon 5. Type B, the Sprinter, is a more dangerous immediate threat but will be limited by station architecture and lockdown of transport tubes. Sources have advised security staff of the possible existence of Type C, the Minbari zombie, which is naturally equipped with a boring mechanism designed to cut through bone structures.

(What have you been talking with Ambassador Delenn about? -Jeff)
