Why this must be read:
The challenge was to write something set 5 years from the end of Firefly, the series. Most people wrote things that were interesting, or thought provoking; this author wrote something that was both, and read like the opening to the third act of the third Firefly movie (should it ever come to pass). It gave me chills - the good kind - when I read it.
