The Grief at the Center of Your Dream by embroiderama (PG)
I just realized that although White Collar has been rec'd here before, there is no Fandom Overview yet and that's why I wrote something up for it and will post it later this week. I'm still trying to edit a little something together to include it in my overview post, but I'm having trouble recording my voice (if anyone out there is a good reader and would like to help me out, please pm me).

Why this must be read:
Emotional hurt/comfort is one of my favorite types of h/c - not that I'd say no to physical!whump either, and here, we have a perfect mixture of both: Neal's grieve, as the summary suggests, leads to physical!whump. But don't worry, the comfort parts don't come too short, either. Worried!Peter taking care of Neal is another favorite trope of mine and it is very well done in this fanfiction.
I really like embroiderama's writing style with vivid descriptions that made me feel for Neal. Instead, every night he slept like the dead and woke like lazarus but yearned for sleep the way he'd never let himself yearn for freedom, inside.
"You look better," Peter said, leaning against Neal's bed.
"I try," Neal said, trying for lightness.
Peter shook his head. "I didn't say you look good. You still look like hell, but at least you have some color in your face now."
"Great. Peter, I'm sorry about this whole commotion."
"You don't need to apologize for needing help, but you should've asked for help at some point before keeling over in the conference room."
"It's just embarrassing. All of this because I can't make myself sleep." Neal looked down at his hands again because Peter's concerned face was too much.

Anyway, I was saying that the podfic fandom is mostly on Twitter - if you are interested I can signal boost this to find some people who might be interested in your project. I know there are White Collar podfic out there, which means there are podficcers who are familiar with the show and the characters.
