Why this must be read: Where to start? cesperanza has been rec'ced oodles times here on the crack_van - in Stargate Atlantis fandom and beyond. She's a marvelous writer who is utterly deserving of your time and attention. And this story has it all - plot, team, angst, brooding!Sheppard, whumped!McKay, humor, brilliant characterizations and, happily for us, porn! I don't want to give too much away, but it starts off with the team captured and the bad guys focusing on Rodney - but not for reasons you'd first suspect. I remember the first time I read this one - I inhaled it and then promptly read it all over again. Trust me, you'll find yourself swept away by the events taking place in the story and lose all track of time. It's just that darn good.
