Author's Summary: “How do you know when you’re in love?”

I love the Grace and Danny relationship in this one. Even though Danny get's thrown a curve ball by Grace and fumbles a bit, he is able to pull it together and be the supporting and loving father we all know he is. The characters are spot on and the situation Grace finds herself in really brings to light how close these two are. They are able to communicate on a level that not all parents and children can achieve. Just a lovely character piece for these two.


“Are girls evil too?”

Danny freezes mid-flip and the fried fluff lands wet side down on Steve’s kitchen counter with a slap. “Fuck.” He turns off the stove and wipes the mess away, throwing it into the garbage disposal.

“Danno?” He turns to her and she’s blushing and looking at him with eyes that shine.

“Monkey, I –“

“I’m not in love with a boy,” she says, her voice high and wobbly.
