Why this must be read:
It would be worth reading just for the fascinating anthropology titbit which underpins the plot and makes it believable but it is also a totally charming story.
Blair is tricked into entering multiple races in a Cascade PD charity event and true to form, manages to surprise everyone. Part of the appeal of the story for me was that the characters' behaviour and emotions all seemed true to life; nothing felt over drawn or exaggerated and of course, it's always nice to see Blair take centre stage.
