Why this must be read: All of the Atlantis personnel are being required to go through psych evaluations - and everyone is eventually cleared except for John Sheppard, that is. The author has created a marvelous character in the psychologist Dr. Vickers; you might not like him, but the man is tenacious - which he'd have to be if he's going to make any headway, pardon the pun, with a man as screwed up in the head like Sheppard. (I'd cite an episode of the show to support my statement about John Sheppard, but just go look at a list of the 100 episodes of the show and that should do nicely.) This story is just so incredibly well written; the prose is lush, the characters hit all the right notes, and it's got that combination of angst/humor that the show did oh so well. It's just a scrumptious piece of fiction that you'll revel in. This might possibly be pir8fancier's last Stargate Atlantis story so there's some melancholy surrounding it, at least for me, but if it is she's leaving on a high note. If you enjoy the story be sure to leave her comment to tell her so.
This is my last rec of the month and I wanted to take the opportunity to thank everyone who left comments here and who took the time to leave kudos and comments on the authors/vidders work. It's been a fun ride and I'm looking forward to all the wonderful stuff that's going to be recommended in April and beyond! Thanks everyone!

I'm just so pleased that she's got a remarkable body of work archived for us to always enjoy.
Me too! (Also trying to look on the bright side of things, lol.)
