Why this must be read:
Today's trope is 'de-aged' - where a hockey player is turned into (usually) a toddler version of himself, and his bestie/UST partner is forced to look after him, thus proving his dedication. The reasons for the transformation are usually hand-waved, so suspend your disbelief and enjoy! Several writers on AO3 write this trope and there is one series that hits almost every team. Also, I've yet to read a de-aged fic where it wanders into what I would find creepy territory.
Once again, a Sid/Geno pairing is the best of this trope. This story also has bonus Russian Knitting Circle for added fun. If you've ever felt bad for Sid, and the way he seems to have nothing in his life beside hockey, this tale takes him back to before that was the case. But in this go-round, he has Geno to look out for him and Geno encourages the parts of Sid that are more open. Not that baby!Sid isn't obsessed with hockey, too.
