Why this must be read: I was bound to include at least one story from Drayce in my month's recs... what can I say? I love her writing!
Drayce writes the lads with a sharp wit and a fine understanding of their relationship, but it's a relationship that never tips over into being soft or girly - she writes them as blokey blokes:
“No, it's not that easy. I'm not that easy.”
“Since when have you ever been easy?” Bodie muttered, attempting to pull Doyle back in to his arms.
'Your Eyes Are Like Limpid Pools' is short - just about right for a coffee break - so I won't tell you any more, except it'll make your day a better, happier one for reading it. Or I'll eat my hat.

ok, not really, but I have other stuff that needs doing and now I'm reading fic.

LOL!
I'm trying really hard to look sorry and apologetic - I always laugh like this when I feel guilty *g*
Hope you enjoy reading - the other stuff will still be there later, honest it will :D

Oh I know. Once it's on the 'net, it's around forever, but reading seems to be compulsion, and most of the Pros fic is extraordinarily well written and tempting.

That's an essential ingredient for me and, in my opinion, an accurate depiction of *them* - who they are in fanon.
Another great rec and reminder, thank you!

Exactly, me too! I want them to be rough and tough, and equal partners, and men! I love that Drayce never loses track of that when she writes them.
It's lovely to share all these lovely fics... I'm having way too much fun doing this. The keys to the van may need to be surgically removed *g*

Isn't that a wonderful line? *g* You can't help but grin when you read lines like that... and I can imagine them saying it on screen too.
And you're ever so welcome *g*

It's delicious, isn't it? Drayce gets them just right, with never a wobble.
