Why this must be read:

Sports Night is, for me, one of those shows that there just wasn't enough of. I didn't get into it until after its cancellation, but still, there's only so many episodes on DVD, even if you watch them over and over like I do. Stories like this one are really nice for that reason--much as I like reading slash, or heavy angst, or what have you, sometimes it's just great to read something that feels exactly like the show itself. Dana complaining about a misspelling of her name, Casey doing a websearch on himself, and Danny waxing poetic on the wonders of cheese are such perfectly in-character things for them to do that I sometimes forget they didn't happen on the actual show.

Being the big nerd that I am, and loving this show as much as I do, I read the story. I then Googled "Casey McCall Golf".

It would seem that Casey played for the 2002 Girls Varsity Golf team at Chaska High School in Chaska, MN.
