Why this must be read: In the show, no matter what Naomi does, and she does some pretty questionable things, Blair’s love for his mom is steadfast. So what could she do that would cause him to turn away? This tender story explores that question.

The holiday season is approaching but all is not merry or bright. Blair is pointedly ignoring a letter Naomi sent at Thanksgiving. As Jim works to uncover the underlying reason, we hear echoes of canon Naomi; someone who loves her son but makes a classic mistake of many parents.

Both Alyjude and Jyllean have posted stories at 852 in the past, but sadly not this collaboration. It touches me every time I read it. Enjoy.

That's a lovely story, moving without being cloying. The dialogue is brilliant. And I love the byplay with Joel - such a great character.
