The Jamie Series by Gillian Middleton (NC-17)

Well, it’s Father’s Day in the US, so we must have at least one dad story, yeah?

Fandom: THE SENTINEL
Pairing: Jim/Blair
Length: Humongous – originally 18 chapters and eventually expanded to 24
Author on LJ: [livejournal.com profile] gillianinoz
Author Website: Gillian’s Fan Fiction

Why this must be read: If you’re ready for a long read where the guys are in a loving relationship and are also dads, this could be for you!

Blair is on a five-week expedition in the fictitious South American country of San Leon, and Jim is missing him. Three weeks into it, there is breaking news: rebels have started a revolution and violence is breaking out all over the country. Knowing the area as he does, Jim is sure that Blair’s American citizenship will be no protection and decides to find him.

With help from old Army contacts, Jim is able to locate Blair pretty easily, but getting past marauding gangs to a safe place is harder. As they travel toward safety, they come across a group of refugees who have been massacred; all except one baby boy: Jamie.

Gillian wrote this epic back in the late 90s. Alyjude said the Jamie series inspired her to write her own epic: Everything’s Jake. Enjoy.
