The Road to Hell by Crowswork (PG)

In focusing on the 852 archive/collection, I definitely leaned heavily toward slash this month. So, I’m ending with a gen story that gives one more tip of the hat to Father’s Day. Cheers until the next time.

Fandom: THE SENTINEL
Characters: Jim Ellison, Blair Sandburg, Naomi Sandburg, Simon Banks, surprise characters
Length: 9K words
Author on LJ: unknown
Author Website: at Wolfpup’s Den

Why this must be read: It covers a popular fandom subject: just who the heck is Blair’s father ?

Post-series, Naomi is still feeling terrible guilt over the release of Blair’s dissertation and the subsequent fiasco. She and a friend join a group of nuns who are in a Central American country to help set up schools. But they are kidnapped by an insurgent group and thrown in with other Americans; one of them being the last person she expected to see thirty years and hundreds of miles from when they parted.

Crowswork has written dozens of stories that range from funny to heavy, and has been a consistent contributor to our fandom for close to a decade. If this is your first intro to her, I suggest you take some time to wander through her offerings. Enjoy.

That is such a great adventure story, and the inclusion of the monks was a real surprise, but also made perfect sense! The boys are perfectly in character too. Thank you for this great rec and for all the others over the month!

And i keep your mantra in mind whenever i read things now! After all, i know how i feel when people give me feedback. and when they don't! ;)
When I first started reading TS stuff, I found it very difficult to give feedback on older sites. So often website and email links no longer worked. So I kind of gave up trying. It's so much easier now when things are on AO 3. I've just tried again for this story and there's nothing on wolf pups dens to show how - though I admit I haven't tried the email on that one just yet. It's such a shame though, not to able to register how great a story is.....

Crowswork has written some lovely pieces, its nice to see her get rec'd here. Thanks for all the lovely recs throughout the month.

I generally leave feedback when I read something but AO3 does make it a whole lot easier to do so. Its a great option and one that I hope people take advantage of. Thanks again for all the you do for this fandom.
