Why this must be read:
Most people who know Apathy know she does not ship John and Aeryn. But yes, that pairing above? True as true. Except not. This is a wicked story, taking place in the most unlikely venue and might have you reading through your eyes once you know what's going on. Wonderful Harvey depiction here, showing the clone not as a menace like many fics do, but as company, almost. Here, Aeryn is almost the menace, tying John to a place, a past he's trying to hide from and his inability to say 'no' to her.
In this, John's fallen far out of reality, at this point in time, and after you finish this story? You might be a little out of touch with reality too. In a good way, though.
