Why this must be read: a poignant story of Hutch's terror and shock directly after Starsky's shooting in Sweet Revenge. Hutch can barely move, not even reach down to feel if Starsky has a pulse. I love this line: All Hutch could do was watch...and breathe. When life is stripped down to simply existing until the crisis is resolved, or at least Hutch finds out if Starsky will survive.

Oh, Dawn! What a wonderful surprise! Thank you so much for reccing this story. I always felt something was missing in that we never saw Hutch touch Starsky.
