Why this must be read: There are literally dozens of stories on how Starsky and Hutch met and became friends. This is a different version than I had ever read: the guys are not best buddies right out of the academy, in fact don't immediately click even after they are partnered as detectives under Captain Dobey. It takes a month of working the streets together and then a very volatile encounter with a former friend of Hutch's to cement the partnership. I was a little distracted by punctuation and spelling errors, but the same could be said of my early stories. I will keep my eye out for more of Kerry2boys' stories.
