Why this must be read:

An unusual combo of the boys and supernatural elements, but this really works. There’s some tantalising Bodie back-story, some very nice Raymond jealousy, some touching revelations - all in spot-on dialogue - and a lovely first time. You might say it’s romantic in concept, but it’s never slushy, and it’s got the hard edge of a real op to counterbalance the emotional stuff. And on top of all that, a great twist that’s simmering all the while in the background, and comes into play right at the end, giving real satisfaction. A pleasure all round.
