This story was written to a Sentinel Thursday challenge in 2004 but I only recently came across it when Caro posted it at AO3. The prompt was “game” and Caro hid the names of 123 games within the story, which is a murder mystery that Jim and Blair must solve. Of course it’s a high-profile, high-society murder, so of course Simon sends his best team to investigate and of course he’s on Jim’s case to get it solved immediately.

Other than that there’s been a murder, there isn’t a bit of angst to be found. So just enjoy this bit of fluff and exercise your word find abilities. Caro has the answers listed at the end of the story. How many will you find?

I adored this! Not only is it a great idea, but the dialogue is just SO perfect, with all the sniping, backchat and Blair being unprofessional about LOADS of stuff. And when Jim used his senses to gauge when the traffic lights changed I whooped!
