Why this must be read:

A lot of the stories I've recced so far take place towards the end of the second season, both because that's one of my favorite times on the show (angst, baby, angst!) and because it produced a lot of great stories. This story highlights Dan's misery at being at odds with Casey (this takes place after "Draft Day") by bringing in Casey's adorable son, Charlie, who only appears once in canon, and who is freakishly like Casey in every way. Dan runs into Charlie and they spend a weekend together. It's a sad and lonely story, one which always requires the watching of "April is the Cruelest Month."
