Syntax6 is acknowledged to be one of the best, if not the best casefile writer in our fandom. Her stores are complicated mysteries that always take Mulder and Scully on an equally complex emotional journey. She had this story offline for a number of years, so I was pleased to see it back up when she revamped her website. I consider it one of her very best.

I went looking to read this when I realised that my memory stated there was no story by Syntax6 called Scavenger. Unfortunately she de-x'd it and turned it into an original novel and the old version isn't around anymore.... :/

In the fandom overview, there is a link to the xfiles lost and found community. Go there and ask for a copy. Believe me, it is available for the asking if you provide an email address. The novel is pretty good,too.
