Why this must be read: Buffy/Faith is the badass girlslash pairing to rule them all, the original hardcore-subtext chosen two. This story is a long slow bitersweet burn of what-ifs and might-have-beens. Wanting and never being able to say so outright. It gets what made the pairing such a beautiful onscreen carcrash; how very much Faith wanted Buffy, and idolized her, and how everything she did sort of revolved around that. Plus it's very cool character backstory. And it'll make you always look at Faith's heart-drawn-on-the-window a little differently.
