Why this must be read: Because of Archie's absence, and Horatio's intolerable behavior, I was only able to stand maybe 20 minutes of HH3 (episodes "Loyalty" and "Duty"), but CW makes it all better with a post-Loyalty romance that also functions as an LKU (Live Kennedy Universe).

Opposites attract, and her stunning characterization demonstrates that the flamboyant French major is a much better match for Bush than the reserved Hornblower could ever be. Her Cotard is a prancing peacock, yet underneath it all lurks something brooding, bitter and even wise, and her Bush is lonely and subtly tragic. Their personalities clash in unbelievebly amusing and charming dialogue, and when it comes time for them to hit the sheets, you won't be dissappointed!

I've never read any Hornblower stuff before. I've been meaning to get my hands on the books and movies for a while, but I've just never had the time to get into, and, I suspect, get completely obsessed with, a new fandom.

Anyway I was bored today and decided to check out your rec. I just wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed it. Quite a bit. Especially the pairing. Of course, it seems to be my fate to fall for the really obscure pairings with three fics to their names. :)

Anyway, great rec. Now I may have to get my hands on those books and movies after all. (I'll stop rambling at you now.)
