This story perfectly captures Simon's early interactions--tentative, methodical, slightly puzzled--with the crew as he attempts to learn their medical histories and establish his role as doctor on the ship. The characterizations and voices of the other characters are terrific as well, and it's the kind of slice-of-life, character-driven piece that makes me miss the show and these characters all the more.
