Why this must be read: Well, being that this is Halloween and all, I figured, why not rec a series that's literally fantastic? Yeah, yeah, I know, vampire stories aren't for everyone, but I double dog dare you *not* to get sucked into this universe. It's so rich, so completely imagined, strange and dark and sexy, and for all the odd goings-on, it's also a deeply human love story between two beautifully fucked up guys. Really, is there anything better than that?

Mmm. I do have to say that this is still my all-time favourite Oz story, and perhaps my all-time favourite story overall. And that's as somebody who normally doesn't like AUs. Good rec. :-D
