Why this must be read: Back stories are both easy and hard to do. Easy because you can say and write almost anything and it could probably true. Hard because with one false note, you could confuse and then subsequently, lose the reader. Here, Mala strikes every wonderful note with perfect precision and emotion, as she presents to us how Emmett's light became the beautiful and bright flame that it is today.

With equal shades of humor and angst, the young Em from Halzelhurst, Mississippi is brought to life in a fic that has a title which befits Em's 'queenly' ancestry:

Thanks for the rec', Glenn! It's always a pleasant surprise when I find out people not only still read my QAF fic but that they'd suggest it to other people!

I'm pretty sure "A World Full of Commoners" was the first story I wrote in the fandom, so I really appreciate your comments about how I struck all the right notes and balanced the humor and angst.
