Dark by Kate Elizabeth (R)
Fandom: Everwood
Pairing: Bright/Ephram
Author on LJ:
moonwhip
Author Website: http://www.geocities.com/moonwhip
Why this must be read: At some point, Bright/Ephram seemed to become *the* preferred pairing in Everwoodland, though it's hard to say exactly when it happened. Now, of course, it seems inevitable -- they're buddies! They bond and tease! They taunt us with the gayness! Bright's boycrush is practically canon! But these changes only came about this fall -- there was a time when all Bright/Ephram stuff had to be, well, kind of screwed up.
Dark takes place following the season 1 finale -- it's been thoroughly jossed by season 2, but it's still very, very good, and many of the post-death reactions here are more satisfying than the ones we got. It's screwed up, full of guilt and grief of the ones still left.
