“Piccadilly Valentine” by Veinglory (G)

Fandom: SHERLOCK HOLMES
Pairing: Holmes/Watson
Author on LJ: [livejournal.com profile] emilyveinglory

Why this must be read:

A portrait of a chilled, gray London, and a chilled, gray detective, who fortunately has a very warm and wise friend:
“Truth is not a democracy, Holmes. Depend on your own observations and damn every sanctimonious moral or medical expert, and every commonplace opinion. You should know this Holmes, you have pulled that veil from my eyes a thousand times.”

“Piccadilly Valentine”

PS: I’ve amended the Sherlock Holmes overview yet again; the first portion of the Notable Adaptations section is now available.

Wonderful. *sigh*

Time for me to give up and just join the community. I keep finding too many good stories through here.

Great story, though the author seems to have mistaken the word "nadir" for "zenith." I don't quite see Piccadilly Circus as the nadir of disquiet.
