This is the fic that let me see why people actually give a toss about baseball.

It's very pretty in the same way a grey sky is, and uses sports as imagery in a way I've never seen bettered in the fandom. It's kind of quiet, but charming, and one of those fics that pulls you in even if you're not quite able to articulate why. It also, in my opinion, totally doesn't need the R rating its author gave it, but what the hey. Go, read, and discover for yourself how stories like this can get you to see the poetry in the everyday.

Aw, I loved this piece. And not just because Moose was mentioned about 80 times ^_^ I really liked how kestrelsan worked his '97 near perfecto into the story, and the voices are all spot on. Thanks for the rec!
