Why this must be read:
Because it's a thoughtful look at Jean's relationship with Scott and Jean's relationship with Logan, viewed with the wisdom and perspective that a long life can bring. The Jean-Scott-Logan triangle is often weighed down so heavily with angst and alpha-male posturing that you lose sight of Jean's motivations, and here they're interestingly and carefully drawn. It's a nice look at how it is possible to love more than one person in a lifetime, although never in exactly the same way.
