So maybe she is just like his mother, but his mother would hate her immediately, so Sandy doesn't worry about it anymore. He's not dating ever again, he decides, so all of that is unimportant. He has his girl.

Dude, I love Sandy and Kirsten. They are the most stable people on that entire damn show, at least together. This is the story of their life, from the moment they met until--well, not the present, but a nice chunck of the way in. It's told by year, a small story for each year they've been together. All those stories weave together to become a larger fabric of their life, their relationship.

Sandy's voice in this is so spot-on--you hear echoes of the Sandy we see on the screen in this man, but younger and less changed by Newport and life. In particular I love his views on Seth. You can see how Sandy's interest and raising of his son made him into the man he is today. Kirsten and Sandy together are, as always, lovely and hot. This is a great story.
