Why this must be read: I like this fic and it’s sequel because I thought it was going this way and it ended up going that way. The first fic is Jayne/Simon, then Mal’s jealousy comes into play and things get violent…and interesting ;)

Didn't seem right for a boy to be so pretty, to have such bright eyes and pretty mouth, prettier than a girl in some ways, better in others. He'd be all soft under those tidy clothes, no roughness to that skin that had only been touched by clean linen and silk all his life. He'd yield so sweet to him, and Jayne would be gentle. He knew how to be, despite what the doc might think, and he'd been thinking, all right.

Confession time: I read The Wolf's Way on account of the excerpt you posted. I'd never seen Firefly, been meaning to dl it, and just never got around to it. Needless to say, I ended up reading that entire series of stories (why hasn't kirbycrow finished it? SO EVIL :-P) and then the rest of the Firefly slash on that page.

And then I got off my ass and got to downloading the eps.

So the whole point of this comment is YAY kirbycrow and yay you ^_^ New fandoms are love!

Wohoo! I converted someone (kinda...well I totally pointed you towards the addictive FF slash and that probably did ya in ;)!!!

This is exactly the same way I got into the Firefly fandom. Someone (kelly_girl?) recced a really good fic (Six Months (http://www.madbrilliant.com/thetenthmuse1/firefly/stand_alones/six_months.html) by The Tenth Muse) and I was like, "I guess I'll read it; I've got nothing else to do..." 4 hrs of slash later I'm desperate for it to stop being 4am so I can run to the nearest Target and purchase the DVDs.

Wow, I practically gave you my life story. Well, the moral of this story is slash is good. (And you should read all of the tenth muse's fic. You can find the site here (http://www.madbrilliant.com/thetenthmuse1/firefly/firefly_main.html) ;)
