King's Man by James Walkswithwind (G)

I'm semielliptical, and I'm the Lord of the Rings driver this month. I'm most interested in the hobbits, but I will be including some recs of non-hobbit fics, like this first one:

Fandom: LORD OF THE RINGS
Pairing: None
Author on LJ: [livejournal.com profile] zortified
Author Website: gila's cave
Why this must be read:

It's a short but fascinating glimpe of Boromir's early childhood, as seen by Aragorn. This scene shows the burdens and conflicts that Boromir will face in the future, but I think the foreshadowing is well done and not heavy-handed. The story also brings out the difference in their ages, and reminds the reader that Aragorn is a very different kind of man than Boromir. A great look at these intriguing characters!

Oh, that's a lovely story! Thank you so much for pointing to that. :) There can never be enough Thorongil/toddler!Boromir stories, and sadly, there aren't very many at all.

Among the few I've seen, though, I also adore one by [livejournal.com profile] fileg called All Of Them Together, which you can find in several places, but the one I have bookmarked is here.

And thank you again for this rec!
