"Joining The World Of Missing Persons", by mosca (Rating: R)
Fandom: BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER
Pairing: Anya/Tara

Author Website: homoneurotica
Why this must be read:
I started out with angst, so for this second rec, I thought I'd go for something sweeter--but not too sweet. Just right. You know, the sort of light, nostalgic fic you thought you'd gone a while without reading, so it was nice to find one that fit the tone you'd wanted.
In
mosca's Heaven, every day is like that. You find what you want, but not too easily. The world is pleasant, peaceful, but not lacking in excitement if you need it. The Anya POV is perfectly rendered for this Heaven: matter-of-fact, open, and content with what is.
mosca knows how to write everydayness like nobody's business, so the way the relationship grows between Anya and Tara is nothing short of a recognition. Of course they should be together. Of course this is right.
After all, it's Heaven.
After lunch, Anya would take a walk around town, or she'd go to the park. As she walked, she'd catch the eye of an attractive person. The person would smile back at her, then, without messing things up by saying anything, walk with her to her house. They would give each other orgasms as the afternoon sun cast diagonal rays into her room. Sometimes, the person would leave after that; other times, they'd have an interesting and funny conversation afterwards. Her lovers were always gone by dinnertime, and Anya's butler, Max, would always have just what she wanted on the table by then.
