Why this must be read:
Hello, this is [livejournal.com profile] frahulettaes , your TPM/Starwars rec-er for January. I ran into Mac via [livejournal.com profile] destina 's rec page though I was actually looking for Robin Serrano. Since I'm a sucker for AU's and dark one's at that, imagine my sense of serendipity at finding Mac's section of such at the bottom of her page. This one I chose by random. It's the first time I've read TPM and found an unflinchingly dark look at the inverse of Qui/Obi. SithLord!Qui courts Sithinitiate!Obi in the darkest and most succulant way. Short but not one iota of sweetness to be found. Written with an economy of exposition not commonly found in any fandom. A little jewel or dark pain and dark love. V poetic. If my previous use of the word dark is not enough to warn you, then you probably should redefine it. This is not for fluffy Qui/Obi readers.

'Scuse me. Could you, possibly, take out your font color tags? A lot of people read [livejournal.com profile] crack_van on their friendslist, and friendslists are not always black background. It's easier if you let Livejournal define the text colors based on what's been definined for the page the text is being looked at on.

So great to see you recc-ing! :) Great choice, too. As you say, "an economy of exposition." Great stuff!

Another request, from the mod this time. ;) Please format your recs as shown in the e-mail that was sent out. Should look like:

Fandom: PHANTOM MENACE
Pairing: Qui-gon/Obi-wan
Author on LJ: [livejournal.com profile] ausmac
Author Website: http://home.iprimus.com.au/amacker/PMFic.htm
Why this must be read:

Your rec.

Also, a rating should be included in parentheses following the title in the subject line.

Thank you!

It's not a problem. The rating is still misplaced, should be:

Blood Music by Mac (NC-17)

in the subject line. But I totally understand learning curves. Just try and refer to the email guidelines when you post your next rec. Thanks again!
