Confessions of a Beleaguered Mind by Anya (R)

Hi there, I'm Candice and I'll be your CSI driver for the month of February. I apologize for pealing in here a week late, but I seem to have forgotten that I had a gmail account and thus, well, I just need to keep better track of my email addresses.

Anyway, I fell in love with CSI just last September when a very nasty cold convienently overlapped Spike TV's CSI marathon. It took one episode to intrigue me (Blood Lust, if anyone cares to know) and finding out Grissom keeps companion tarantulas to hook me (I have a long-held adoration for all things arachnid.). Grissom/Sara's my ship, Greg/Sara's my liferaft and the afore mentioned three are - you guessed it - my favorite characters. (But I like gen and casefiles, and have been known to read a little yo!bling and Nick/Greg, too.)

I have rules when I'm reading: three-word for netspeak, three-sentence for spelling and grammar, one paragraph for style and three paragraphs for characterization. If anything goes wrong within those critical word-spans, I click the back button. And now, without further ado:

Fandom: CSI
Pairing: Grissom/Sara (in the context of a Sara character piece)
Author on LJ: [livejournal.com profile] smut_queen
Author Website: I know she has one, I just can't find it for the life of me.

Why this must be read: Because this is one of my personal favorites, and as your god, I command you to read it. Actually, I'm probably not your god, but this is one of my personal favorite fics, mostly because of the outstanding Sara-characterization. (It's on a level where, when I'm reading it, I can 'hear' Jorja Fox's voice in my head. ) Setting is - I'm fairly certain - somewhere in the early fourth season, and the awkwardness that lies there is captured perfectly.
