Why this must be read:

After the last years season finale cliffhanger there where lots of AU stories dealing with that. I think in the end this story did better of dealing with that than the show ended up doing. There is no neat phone call to bring him home.

This has Ryan staying in Chino and the story is told from the point of view of Theresa as she deals with being pregnant, disillusioned, and the reason that Ryan left his second chance. It starts off very softly and ends on a very hard note but all the way through the story there is hope.


Here are five things Theresa used to believe in:

1. God.

2. Mama and Arturo.

3. Herself, sometimes.

4. Everything will work out okay in the end.

5. Ryan.

She could laugh now when she thinks about it.
