This one is about Clayton, Archie, and Simpson aboard Justinian in the days before Horatio's arrival. The prose is beautiful and haunting, telling of Clayton's guilt and his attraction to Archie while he watches him crumble under Simpon's abuse. There's just not enough stories about poor old Clayton and this one is especially well done.
