Why this must be read:

You know you’re in an interesting (non-anime, non-SF) fandom when you have to decide which tentacle!fic to recommend. I ultimately picked this one because (A) I’ve already written up a story by lynnmonster (who wrote “The Alien from Planet Grabby”), and (2) someone drew fanart (which is not work-safe) showing what happens after Fraser is awakened from “a confused dream of heat and participatory full body contact” by an unexpected late-night visit from Ray, who has acquired some new appendages and is having some problems coming to grips (ha ha ha) with the situation.

Oh, and in case you’ve read the title and are wondering what whales have to do with anything, makesmewannadie has since stated in her journal that she meant cephalopod, obviously, but she made a mistake typing the title and no-one pointed it out until the story had been posted, by which point it was too late to change it.
