Why this must be read: How could I go the month without rec'ing a story from Em? This is a story I can read over and over again because Em just makes everything so believeable. And I want to believe in Gil and Nick.

Everything's canon right up until Nick joins the CSI team. But there's one little change and that makes a world of difference in the lives of both Nick and Gil.

I thought that this one was taken off her site...because it had problems. Anyway, I love many of Em's work. This one I had problems with, especially when it came to Gil and Nick's reactions at what happened at the end. It was a good read until that point.

Really? Didn't look like it to me. I didn't think that it was true to the characters with that kind of resolution. Anyway, as I said, it was a great fic except for the unsatisfactory ending.
