Hi, I'm Jenavira, and I'll be reccing for Pirates of the Caribbean this month. I've got a weird selection of recs, some of which I've had bookmarked since weeks after the movie first came out. I'm primarily a Sparrington fangirl, but I've got a bit of gen thrown in here, too.

Why this must be read:

For my first rec, an old fic -- from back when the movie was still in theatres. One of the things I love about this fandom is how quickly it got on to making fun of itself. The movie carried around quite a few cliches on its own, and fandom quickly added on some more. Mandolin did a great job of lambasting all the cliches that multiply so quickly in slash fic. After all, you can never mock euphamisms too much.

It's just a short little series, and silly as all hell.
