Disruption by Huzzlewhat (PG-13)

Why this must be read: "Fractures" was the last episode aired before the great season 3 hiatus, which was 8 months long. As a result there was a lot of fic written about how Aeryn was dealing with Talyn!John's death, and how Moya's crew would try to shut down Scorpius' wormhole project.
While "Disruption" doesn't directly resolve either of these questions, it does a marvelous job of looking at the characters' interactions through the viewpoint of Peacekeeper spy Jenavian Chatto, whom we'd last seen about a year before. The marvelous thing about this story, which won Best Overall award in the Farscape Fic Awards in 2001, is that the characterization is true to life despite Chatto's misunderstandings and flawed assumptions, and most importantly, that Chatto has her own agenda.
Huzzlewhat's dialog crackles and snaps with energy, her narrator Chatto is entertaining and self-absorbed, and the story moves along at a brisk pace. It's a great story, and a lot of fun.
So go read Disruption and send the author a note, would you? You won't regret it.
