Shaye is one of the "old guard" in Farscape fanfiction -- she's been writing since the 2nd season, and her fiction has just gotten better, and better, and better. This story takes the issue of wormholes, and the fucked-up mess which is John Crichton's mind, and the tortured relationship with Aeryn, and uses these elements to examine the very nature of love, fate, and storytelling. And she does it all backwards, with a kind of prose and insight that will make you weep.

Once upon a time, you know how those stories go. Once upon a time, there was a girl, there was a boy. There was danger in the hands of an enemy, or an equipment malfunction, or plain bad luck. And so on, and so on...

You know how those stories go, because they are yours.

In my head, there are three or four stories constantly jockeying for the position of Best Farscape Story Ever Written. This is one of them. Read it.
