Why this must be read:
My favorite thing about nostalgia's writing is her straightforward style. She's got an amazing handle on the characters, and her T'Pol voice in this piece is one of the best I've read. It's short, gen, and set in season one, when the crew was still finding its place on board the Enterprise. nostalgia does a wonderful job of capturing that feeling as well as highlighting the optimistic tone that permeated season one.
