Preliminary Events by Xtricks (adult)

Hey all! I'm Tarc and I've driving for the X-Men fandom this month. I enjoy both comic and movie 'verses of all types, but I'm a slashy movieverse guy at heart, so expect many of my recs to come from that realm.

First up is one of my favorites, and someone not recced here before.

Fandom: X-MEN MOVIEVERSE
Pairing: Logan/Warren Worthington III (Wolverine/Angel)
Author on LJ: [livejournal.com profile] xtricks
Author Website: http://x-tricks.slashcity.org/
Why this must be read: X-Tricks writes in several fandoms and his work is consistently terrific. I'm especially fond of his work in the X-Men, where he often takes on unusual pairings, darker situations, or scorching hot relationships that can edge into BSDM.

This particular favorite is part of a loosely related series of Logan/Warren stories, where XT convincingly and organically couples two very dissimilar characters with poor track records for relationships. It's a movieverse fic, where Warren Worthington is established as a contemporary of Jean – mature, well educated, self-assured – that had already gone back out into the world by the time of the movies. Like most versions of Warren, he's deeply flawed, but brilliant, driven, and lonely. The attraction between he and Logan is palpable and honest, and screaming hot. This one features the pair in rather unique established relationship, a touch of angest, and some sudsy action – a sensual shave and a steamy shower. I love the depth of character. Read the whole series, but for a starter, I recommend:

Two things about the formatting of your subject line, 1) please do not use lj tags in the author's name. They do not translate to memories and the extra code has to be removed, and 2) rather than "adult" please use actual rating (NC-17 or some other equivalent), and remove the "S3V0C0." Thanks.

If the author is rating it "adult" then I suppose that's the best way to show it. Please remove the additional warnings though. The memories function only allows for a limited number of characters so we try to keep all extraneous info out of it. Thanks.
