Why this must be read: I love Clex AUs. This one, along with its sequel, Everything Good and True completely sucked me in. It's a historical fic, set in early 20th century California. Lex has inherited his father's ranch. Clark plays piano in a brothel. Lex is fascinated by the pretty boy playing Moonlight Sonata. In time they discover a deeper connection than either of them had realized. I fell in love with this universe so much that I created some cover art just so I could keep my head inside it a little longer. :)
